MISSION
The mission of INSOURCE is to provide parents, families, and service providers in Indiana the information and training necessary to help assure effective educational programs and appropriate services for children and young adults with disabilities.
HISTORY OF INSOURCE
Thirty-five years ago, a group of parents in South Bend came together primarily because they wanted to understand what "going to school" would mean for their children with disabilities. Prior to 1975, most of those children were not permitted to attend their public schools. This group of parents worked with local schools to understand the requirements of a new public law that said that their children were entitled to a free appropriate public education.
INSOURCE TODAY
Today INSOURCE employs 30 staff across the state. Virtually all staff are parents of children with disabilities. INSOURCE also trains parents to serve as volunteer parent advocates in their local communities throughout Indiana. During the past 12 months, INSOURCE provided individual training and assistance to 21,831 Hoosier parents and conducted 101 workshop and training events for 4,620 Hoosier parents and professionals.
COMMITMENT TO SERVICE
The Indiana Resource Center for Families with Special Needs (INSOURCE) has been serving and supporting individuals with disabilities for over 34 years as Indiana's only parent training information center. Today, all children are entitled to a public education, and we confirm our commitment to empowering Hoosier parents in achieving this dream for their children.

From South Bend head south on South Ironwood Drive, merge onto US-20 E toward Mishawaka, merge onto IN-19S toward Wakarusa/Nappanee. Turn left onto E Market Street/US-6. Turn left onto County Road 7/N Oakland Ave. End at 340-399 N Oakland Avenue.
