Supporting Addiction Free Environments (SAFE) for Lake County, the Merrillville Drug-Free Communities (DFC) and the Merrillville Drug-Free Communities are teaming up to present the Tall Cop presentation to local families and professionals.
Regarded as one of America’s top experts in various drug and alcohol trends, Jermaine Galloway, the Tall Cop, has specialized in underage drinking and drug enforcement for more than 15 years. In his presentation, he provides tools, resources, and training to combat substance abuse.
TALL COP covers such topics as:
- Alcohol/drug clothing, signs, and symptoms
- Alcoholic energy drinks and alcopops
- Non-traditional alcoholic beverages
- Synthetic drugs (including opioids)
- Popular party drugs
- OTC drugs
- Alcohol/drug containers, and concealment methods

- Youth party tendencies
- Party games
- Social networking sites
This workshop is open to the public. There is a fee of $20.00 + $1.83 to attend. 6 CEUs will be awarded to participants completing the full-day training.
There will be vendors and pizza (until we run out).
