Transition to Adult Life

Planning for a student's transition from school to adult life can be complex.  It may include postsecondary education or training and/or community employment, community living and leisure opportunities with family and friends.  This workshop provides information to help parents understand some of the issues that will be addressed in the transition planning process including the transition IEP and the student's and the family's role in the process. It will also cover accessing adult services and supports and the importance of the Rehabilitation Act to transition age students.
