Bilingual Program Specialist

Job Summary:

Part-time position, 20 hours/week,

Responsibilities include but not limited to: conduct outreach activities targeted to Spanish speaking families,

  • provide information/referral/linkage to parents, 
  • provide individual assistance/training to parents and professionals, conduct parent training sessions in Spanish,
  • translate materials and training presentations into Spanish,
  • recruit Spanish-speaking volunteers, and
  • will provide assistance to Spanish-speaking parents throughout the state.

Minimum Job Qualifications:   

  • Spanish fluency is required.
  • A track record of excellent performance in the employee’s current position.
  • One to two years of special education experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of Indiana and auto insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to the education of infants, toddlers, children and young adults with disabilities is required.

Additional requirements include excellent writing, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills along with basic computer skills and the ability to work effectively with the general public.

 Job Summary:

Part-time position, 20 hours/week

The responsibilities of the Program Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsibilities include but not limited to: Receptionist Duties:  telephone, emails, greeting the public, operating office equipment, distributing and sending mail
  • Technology Support:  forwarding technical support requests, assisting in maintaining the database, assisting in management of company website and social media platforms
  • Customer Service: greeting and directing in person and callers to correct personnel or other resources to appropriately meet their needs
  • Reporting and Recording:  assisting in recording and reporting information for inventory tracking of training materials and other information as necessary

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  •  2 years of experience in similar clerical role
  • High proficiency with computers, typing and office software
  • Excellent customer skills

Additional requirements include excellent writing, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills along with basic computer skills and the ability to work effectively with the general public.

  • Perform appropriate data collection and record-keeping activities
  • Assist in planning and attend annual in-service training
  • Participate in agency related activities, including regional and statewide conferences
  • Participate in local special education and/or disability related activities or boards and committees
  • Other job related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
