The Internet of Things (IoT)
This free assistive technology training will educate participants about the internet of things (IoT) and ways that it can increase independence for individuals with a disability.
Anyone interested in learning the basics about the internet of things, which is the inter-networking of physical devices, vehicles, buildings and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enable these objects to collect and exchange data should attend this workshop.

We will discuss how the network of smart devices apply to individuals with a disability and how those technologies can increase someone's independence. Individuals with disabilities, educators, parents, students, vocational rehabilitation counselors, professionals, and healthcare providers can benefit from this training content.
