Information Fairs

Our information and resource fairs will provide an opportunity to raise awareness among parents, students and anyone working with students with disabilities of available resources in the area relating to the disability community. 

Representatives from IN*SOURCE will be at the fair to share information
about volunteer and program opportunities that support individuals with special needs

Autism Resource & Information Fair -  Sponsored by Northwest Indiana Special Education Cooperative - NISEC is hosting their 1st Autism Resource & Information Fair in order to help families of individuals on the autism spectrum obtain information about the services available to them in the community. Download flyer  This event is free to attend and is open to the public.

Hestina Monroe, Regional Program Specialist, will be representing IN*SOURCE at this event.  She will be available to answer questions about the services IN*SOURCE provides to families and will have materials and information about special education in Indiana.

Down Syndrome Indiana is excited to introduce the Inaugural Buddy Walk® Terre Haute that will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Memorial Stadium.  Buddy Walk® is a family-friendly event is open to all children and adults with Down syndrome, their families, friends and local supporters. Nationally, Buddy Walk® is the most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community. Locally, it is the largest fundraising and awareness event for Down Syndrome Indiana.

The Buddy Walk® will be a unique opportunity for vendors and other not-for-profit organizations to explain the services they provide to our community.  The Information Expo will be open from 9:00am to 11:00am for families and their guests to explore. The Walk will begin at 10:00 am, with festivities including music, food entertainment and team awards prior to the walk.

Jill Summerlot, IN*SOURCE Regional Program Specialist, will be on hand to answer questions about the services IN*SOURCE provides and have information available related to special education services in Indiana.

Family Fun Day sponsored by FACES (Families and Communities Embracing Successes! A Children's Mental Health Initiative)

At this event parents, families and others will have the opportunity to talk to many area service providers, enjoy free food and games, and share in lots of fun with your family.  This event is free and is open to the public.

Anita Lewis, DDRS Regional Program Specialist, will be on hand representing IN*SOURCE at this event.  She will be able to provide information about the services that IN*SOURCE provides.  She will also have information and materials related to special education services in Indiana.
