Preparing for Your Child's Special Education Case Conference

This session reviews the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) and how parents can use the Six Principles of IDEA to help them express concerns about their child's special education program. Basic information about the IEP and dispute resolution are included. This session also helps parents identify issues of concern, organize documents, prepare information, and communicate effectively during the case conference. This class will help parents become their child's best advocate and build positive relationships with school personnel.
