The Arc of Indiana

is committed to all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) realizing their goals of living, learning, working and fully participating in the community.

The Arc’s team of family advocates provide information, referral and advocacy on a wide range of issues including: First Steps/early intervention, special education, transition from high school, guardianship and supported decision-making, and navigating public and private healthcare coverage. They also assist families and people with disabilities in understanding and applying for Medicaid, Medicaid Waivers/Home and Community Based Services, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and Vocational Rehabilitation.

The Arc is home to The Arc Master Trust, Indiana’s leading special needs trust, serving Hoosiers of all disabilities since 1988.

The Arc of Indiana Foundation works to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities, including our postsecondary vocational training program, Erskine Green Training Institute.

As Indiana’s leading advocacy organization for people with IDD we have a fulltime presence at the Indiana Statehouse and, as the state chapter of The Arc of the United States, in the halls of Congress.
