IDEA Part C: Family Rights and Procedural Safeguards
IDEA Part C: Family Rights and Procedural Safeguards provides families with an essential overview of their rights within early intervention services. This session will explain the protections in place to ensure families can make informed decisions and participate meaningfully in every step of their First Steps journey. Participants will also learn about the available options for resolving disagreements, including mediation, written state complaints, and due process. Families will leave with a stronger understanding of how to advocate confidently and collaboratively for their child.
